Illmitz is a picturesque village located in the state of Burgenland, Austria. The village is situated on the picturesque Neusiedlersee Lake that stretches over 320 km². Illmitz has a population of approximately 2,100 people, with the majority of the population being of Austrian descent. The village's name (Im Malitz), is Slavic in nature , the language spoken by the people who migrated here in the 7th Century A.D.
