Sevan is a city located in the Gegharkunik Province in Armenia. The city is known for its stunning natural beauty and is a popular destination for tourists. The main attraction in Sevan is Lake Sevan, which is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia.
Historically, Sevan was home to a number of monasteries and churches. One of the most famous is Sevanavank Monastery, which was built in the 9th century and sits on a peninsula in the lake.
